What we are working on...
All the upper and lower case letters and sounds will have been introduced by December. Your child should be able to identify all the letters in various fonts and say the sounds of each letter. We are using these sounds to blend letters together to help us read and write.
These are some of the sight words that we review daily, have your child pick these words out when you are reading together.
Sight Words: a, am, I , is, it, was, see, look, like, to, and, my, me, we, you, go, on, red, blue, pink, green, black, white, yellow, orange
Word Families: -ug, -at, -it, -et, -am
From now until December, we will be also working on the numbers 1-20, along with our themes of apples, leaves, bats, spiders, friendship and winter.
